Computational EngineeringSingle Iteration's experienced analysts use computer modeling and simulation, not only to determine feasibility more quickly, but also to provide key design insights into performance limiting effects not readily revealed by testing. Analysis Software Packages

ANSYS®  Professional

Our primary analysis workhorse, ANSYS® Professional provides the backbone for feasibility evaluations of component and system concepts. We use ANSYS® Professional to establish preliminary finite element analysis (FEA) models of complex heat transport and associated thermophysical effects, like temperature-dependent heating and thermal strain, which are prevalent in high performance thermal equipment.

ANSYS® Mechanical

For FEA-based optimization and verification of detailed designs, ANSYS® Mechanical offers a full complement of dynamic and nonlinear structural modeling capabilities, a broad spectrum of material property laws spanning from metals to composites to elastomers, and a comprehensive set of robust solvers. We use ANSYS® Mechanical to quantify the thermal, structural, or thermo-mechanical design performance of complex assemblies, particularly when gapped component interfaces are present.

ANSYS® CFX

When it comes to modeling combined-mode heat transfer involving fluidic and / or radiative transport, CFX delivers outstanding Computational Flow Dynamics (CFD) simulations and provides powerful post-processing tools to help visualize transient thermal load distributions across component surfaces in both wetted and high temperature vacuum environments. With it's robust coupled flow and Monte Carlo radiation solver modules, CFX helps Single Iteration provide our customers with realistic insight-building solutions to inform their key design decisions, in far less time than with other traditional CFD approaches. When teamed with ANSYS® Mechanical in a parallel-processing computational environment, CFX also enables the assessment of design structural response to the concurrent pressure and temperature fields which are likely to occur during fielded operation.

StressCheck®

We use StressCheck® to verify the results of other analysis software packages and assure our solutions yield the highest accuracy and precision state-of-the-art computational analysis can achieve. StressCheck® provides specialized support in the areas of heat transfer analysis, model buckling analysis, cold-working analysis, fracture mechanics analysis, composite material analysis and margin check analysis, while providing unique p-version implementation of material and geometric nonlinear analysis.

MATLAB®

MATLAB® is specialized software for mathematical computation, analysis, visualization, application development and algorithm development used for system modeling, simulation and design. Built around the core MATLAB® numeric, graphics and programming functionality, the Simulink tool suite also provides a simulation, code generation, and prototyping environment for modeling, simulating and analyzing real-world dynamic systems that enables us to realize working control system hardware in a fraction of the traditional development time.

FEMLAB®

FEMLAB® provides an interactive environment for modeling and simulating scientific and engineering problems based on partial differential equations, which are the mathematical relationships establishing the fundamental basis for the laws of science. FEMLAB® 's multiphysics capability allows us to simultaneously model many combinations of coupled phenomena and allows us to supplement ready-to-use applications based on predefined relevant physical quantities with equation-based modeling.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) Tools

Single Iteration supports all of the most popular CAD software packages. We readily support file translation to and from your preferred CAD environment and can adapt the format of our results to your in-house electronic file handling needs.

SolidWorks

SolidWorks is our standard 3D solid modeling CAD software package. Including animation and rendering support, SolidWorks is directly integrated into our computational analysis software environment. This enables us to seamlessly transition from concept definition and feasibility analysis directly into product designs that can be rapidly prototyped based on proven design for testability and manufacturability rule sets.
