How We Work
Understanding customer needs and translating them into project goals are critical first efforts during the initial stages of any project. In doing so, Single Iteration conducts discovery sessions, probes for details that will help illuminate a big-picture perspective, and spends considerable time consulting with, and obtaining approval from, all stakeholders regarding project objectives.
Creative engineering sessions generate ideas specific to our customer's requirements. This is where we earn our reputation for 'out of the box' thinking. The best ideas are then assessed quantitatively and qualitatively and evaluated as possible directions for development based upon your development goals.
Serving as a portal into Watlow's engineering community, subject matter experts from Watlow product centers become extended project team members. Their expertise in the art and science of component technologies is invaluable insight enabling performance goals to be realized with minimal design and development time. Process Steps
Single Iteration subscribes to a proven methodology to help ensure success. It's based on a phased approach that keeps each project on schedule and on budget. It incorporated regularly scheduled meetings and established prescribed communication to ensure open, orderly decision-making at each critical step.
Phase 0: Discovery

Phase 1: Concept Definition
- Develop "blue sky" models
- Assess preliminary feasibility
- Compare cost/benefit to project objectives

Phase 2: Design & Development
- Complete detailed analysis, modeling and design
- Design for manufacturability
- Develop test plan
Phase 3: Prototype Fabrication
